ABOUT PSYCHSTAR
Dr. Michael Lee Zwiers is a registered psychologist who practices in the areas of Clinical, Counselling, and School Psychology. He received his Bachelor and Master of Education degrees from the University of Alberta and his Ph.D. from the University of British Columbia. Dr. Zwiers completed a Clinical/Health Psychology Internship at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto and two years of postdoctoral training in Clinical Psychology.
Dr. Zwiers has worked broadly in the areas of Clinical, Educational, and Counselling Psychology, including hospitals, primary care with family physicians, community mental health, school boards, Corrections Canada, and independent practice. He specializes in the assessment and treatment of attention disorders, learning disabilities, anxiety and mood disorders across the lifespan and has a special interest in clinical diagnosis and use of the DSM-5.
Dr. Zwiers is an Assistant Professor in the Werklund School of Education at the University of Calgary and a consulting psychologist at the CanLearn Centre (formerly Calgary Learning Centre).
Dr. Zwiers regularly offers professional training workshops for psychologists and physicians. More information can be obtained under the Workshops tab.

After many months of planning and work with my web designer, the PsychSTAR website is finally up and running! The idea for a resource website came from the many enthusiastic workshop participants who expressed an interest in accessing some of the materials that I have developed for my workshops, classes, and clinical practice.
